Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles Project

If this is not already a breed I’d like to make it one. I kind of stumbled upon this by accident last year. I crossed my Brown Red Jap to a Mille Fleur and got this…

I’d like to keep the brown red leakage on the roos, but improve his mottled chest, blue feet and feathered feet. For the hen I want to improve the leakage around her neck, improve blue feet and feathered feet. I did breed the roo with the mottled hen and my 2 Mille Fleurs and got this…

These are both getting sold as they don’t have what I want. Right now lm breeding my better quality Mille Fleur to the jap roo to see if I get any better hens or Roos( with blue legs and muffs)

if anyone has anything else to add please comment.

It's not a breed yet because it's not a breed. You have mixed breed birds.
A color/pattern is a "variety" of a breed. I don't know of Japs or D'uccles coming in the variety mottled brown red.
I just skimmed your post but I take it you want this project to be a pure D'Uccle in that pattern when complete?

Yes I would like it to be pure D’Uccle and with the pattern complete when I finish.

What you're trying to accomplish is making a mottled brown red variety of D'Uccle.
When you keep referring to it as a breed you are making things confusing. You're not trying to make a whole new breed. And every different variety within a breed isn't a different breed.
As far as I know there is no mottled brown red D'Uccle. I don't even think there's a brown red D`Uccle.

Sorry it kind of hard to put into words. Correct not a new breed . Im wanting to make a new color of D’Uccles if that makes sense.

Do you have a picture of the brown red Japanese bantam? If the Japanese bantam wasn’t actually brown red, you won’t be able to make true-breeding brown reds with what you have.
