BRs Two of each?

I believe you're correct, although it was hard to see the one possible pullet. One bird is definitely darker than the other two, which would indicate pullet. Boys have more white, so appear lighter. So if the one that's hard to see also appears darker than your two light colored well-combed birds, then I'd presume she's a pullet too.

Thanks...yes, she is darker than the 2 boys.

Oh yeah...those two are def. darker - pullets. And two boys, the noticeably lighter ones. That says a lot if they were straight-run - right on the 50/50 mark...lol.

unfortunately I ordered pullets from the hatchery. But, from what I understand BR can be harder to sex at day old...True? Whatever, no big deal. I have more chickens than I planned. I may try to find another "home" for him. Not sure I want to put one of my very first chickens on my plate first year lol. (likely one of them will be dinner) I also don't think I want 2 roos with only 9 hens.

If anything, they are easier to sex at a day old :/

I agree, 2 pullets - 2 cockerels

I am really starting to hate hatcheries! LOL

Maybe in the future I'll find somewhere to buy some "decent" birds.
