Anyone sure of the gender on this one? I think I know, but SO assertive and fighting with the older Spitzhauben cockerel last week. Vibe is more of predator than of prey. Gets along fine with the Swedish Flower Hen cockerel and pullet and the Light Sussex that was hatched with. I’m wondering if I’ll be able to successfully integrate this one in with my existing flock of wimps. I have two adult Buff Orpington hens, a Breda mix hen, juvenile Spitzhaubens x 2 hens and a cockerel, a Light Sussex, and a Mechelin Turkey Head. The boss is the small Breda mix. She only likes the 2 BO hens because everyone else is newly introduced in the past month. This one and the other 3 hatched with it are still kept apart from the rest.

Leaning Pullet, could go either way, however I would expect to see much thicker shanks on a Cockerel, wider in breast/body and a more upright stance. But those things can be attributed to more selective breeding. Pic of my cockerel's legs at just 4 weeks old.

Well, it turned out to be a cockerel for sure. I’m going to try to keep him. He’s very calm and easy to handle. He hardly ever crows so far and when he does, he sounds like an owl.
