Brussels sprouts

[Gray Ghost]

A from-the-home-garden brussels sprout stalk (with leaves and some sprouts left on) hung from the run fence wire makes an excellent chicken snack.

Nice timing. I have a couple in my garden that have frozen, but they are still green. Since I'm planning to til the garden tomorrow, I'll save them for the girls.

My girls won't eat the outer peelings from the sprouts when we offer them, but they sure LOVE to pick at the large leaves which I regularly cut off while the stalk is growing!
