No veggies?

Mine only really like veggies if I hang them up (talk about picky!) - they go wild for a cabbage hanging up in the run.
Then out of the blue, Babs decides that the world revolves around cauliflower.
Not the leaves - the white florets. I suspect it is just a phase she is going through.

They're too young and don't need the veggies even if they were older. They need 100% grower feed right now.
Steaming them helps soften the tough ones.

they have lots of grass and dandelions! I thought they needed more. Wanted them to get use to veggies so they can eat during the winter.
They don't "need" veggies as long as you're feeding a nutritionally complete chicken feed.

Mine pretty much only get things like fruits and veggies as I clean out the garden. Overripe tomatoes, a wonky squash, the outside leaves of a cabbage or broccoli, carrot tops. That does mean during winter they get next to nothing, as I grow very little during that time.
