I have not seen it in mine but the way they dig down into mud and other stuff I would not be surprised that it's not some kind of debri getting into the eye, Thats where buckets of water deep enough to wash out their eyes and nares would be good because most things like this can resolve themselves, but if it happens often then I would be trying to figure out what the problem is, I have Vetericyn spray for stuff like this, it is safe to spray in the eyes and will not only wash out the eyes but also kill any infection that may be there. Cocoa said stress can cause it too so maybe looking into anything that maybe causing stressful times might be good too.
