Bubbles in eyes rattled breathing! Please help!

My chicken has one very swollen eye and both are watery with bubbles. She’s making a rattling noise while breathing. She’s still eating and running around. I’ve separated her from the flock and gave vet RX. All we have here is a Tractor Supply so please tell me what else I can purchase from there.

No, she has a vet appointment today at 2 but would love to not spend that money. Can you buy antibiotics at Tractor Supply do you know?

You can buy different antibiotics at farm stores. A couple of the recommended antibiotics for respiratory ailments are Tylan 50 and LA-200.

How is Tylan 50 given?

I've never given Tylan but I'm pretty sure you can give that one orally and via injection. I use LA-200 which can be given orally and via injection. Normally I always give orally except in very severe cases. Do you have a picture or video of your hen's symptoms?

Treatment: Oxytetracycline 200 mg (Liquamycin LA-200)
Via water: 1 cc per bird in water daily. (If 10 birds, then 10 cc in water daily.) Change water daily and treat for 5 days.

I've dealt with this before. I finally (after treating) realized my chicks were reacting to the DE I was using, but still got some good advice on treating resp infections in this thread. I believe the tylan 50 dosage and instructions are in here as well as some other info. Hope this helps.

Ok, I just called my local feed store and they carry La 200 so I’m going to go pick it up. Cheaper than the vet! Thank you so much!
