I read that Buckeye's are hard to sec. So here's a quote I found from someone else
"Quote: Rather than depend on comb at this stage, it might be better to look at saddle feathers. At around 3 to 4 months, you can start to distinguish males from females by the shape and glossiness (or lack thereof) of their saddle feathers.

The tail feathers will tell you. If tail feathers tips are pointed it is male. If the tail feathers tips are blunt or round it is female.
