My girls are laying like champs, 270 eggs are going into the incubator weekly.
My current list is getting shorter and shorter, I might be able to ship a couple of more orders before the heat of the summer arrives.
Peace,
Dave

Do you have room for one more straight run order of 12, day olds before the heat of the summer? I don't have a 'bator or I'd ask about eggs.

Dave, Please do not sell any chicks to folks in Oklahoma or Arkansas. If you do we will have to compete with them at the fall shows. Most of them already have chicks/eggs from Jen. seriously, would be nice to see 50+ Buckeyes at Shawnee in December!

Don't be selling our 25 chicks!

Just kidding - we just ordered (said we would drive to get them if it's too hot to ship) and we are really looking forward to their arrival. They'll have a brand new coop too when they're old enough.

Buckeye Dave, please don't any attention to Jim...this side of the Mississippi needs Buckeyes too

Don't worry Jim,... for a couple of years

I won't be able to make Shawnee this fall...although its only 1 hour away verses 6 or 7, you might see DW and DS.

I'm going on a vacation in a few months....Going to be spending the winter/spring in Afghanistan...
....but when I get back next summer and DW has had all those months to prep the roos, and we can diversify our flock by adding the chicks from Dave...look out

I wonder if the Taliban could be pacified by introducing buckeyes? .....Dave will you also ship to an APO?

You're going to love'em! If you have to drive, you won't regret it and be glad you did....we drove seven hours to get ours

....they were a week old, we stopped about every 1.5 -2 hours to give them a water break and all are 28 still doing great. Be sure to show us pics of the chicks and their new coop.

Relieved to hear that we're not the only ones willing to drive (it will be about 7 hours round trip for us) and that they survived the trip so well.

And for sure, there will be pics of the chicks and coop.

I still think you are psycho for round tripping to pick up some fluffy butts, but that is just me.

Yes, as I mentioned the hens are laying a stoooopid amount of eggs (I started grinding up Purina Puppy Chow with empty egg shells and scratch grains and the egg production went up 40% and the fertility rate also increased). I should be able to get caught up with my chick commitments very quickly.

12+ chicks are $60 in the continental US.
Peace,
Dave

That's funny,

I call'em fluffy butts too. If you can ship before it gets too hot, that's great - if not, we'd rather trip than wait for fall.
