Here are new pics of the babies from bigredfeather. Laura's are due to go in the hatcher on the 9th if all goes well and I didn't kill them with the glue fumes from the new floor. I can't believe I didn't think about them when we were installing it. I am almost afraid to candle again but I guess I need to. Anyway enjoy!

Hello all,

It is nice to see the Buckeye Thread, I don't think it was on here when I first joined. I hatched out 5 Buckeyes last year, from two different bloodlines, but I don't think I have a single roo. I have roos of other breeds in the "grow-out" pen, so I would think I could tell the difference by now. My prob being that I need a Buck roo and I am in MD, anybody close? Thank you.

Melissa

Rustyswoman - your babies are so cute! I need to get some pictures of mine up to. I have some bantams that I hatched in December that are getting into that adolescent phase and growing feathers on their back and breast and they just look a little odd to me. Since I only had 4 Buckeyes hatch last week I ordered another dozen and they will be going into the incubator this week. This hatching thing is kind of addicting, the kids and I all really enjoy it. I am looking at building a cabinet incubator next...

Hi Melissa,

You can contact Paul Gilroy, who lives in Indian Head, MD. See your regular email for his phone and email address. I feel certain he can help with a cock bird.

(And by the way, thank you so much for your membership in the American Buckeye Poultry Club, just got your PayPal payment today!)

Cheers,

Laura

Rustywoman, adorable babies! I need to get hatchin! Supposed to be a big snowstorm through here tomorrow, so I'm rather glad I waited, but want to get some babies in the brooders soon.
