Gosh guys, I go away for three days and there are pages and pages of messages to catch up with! I'll go back and read them all later today (after I catch up on my sleep too), but wanted to post a quick message about the Northeastern Congress Poultry Show.

Had a wonderful time there showing and socializing, and was pleased to be able to meet Bob Rhodes in person after all these years of emailing back and forth! He also joined the ABPC, which I thought was wonderful. So now we have Duane Urch, John Brown, and Bob Rhodes as members, three long time breeders of Buckeyes!

Jason Page and I showed large fowl Buckeyes, and I won BB with a cockerel and he won RB with a cock bird. They were both nice birds, and it was a pretty close call, IMO! Don Schrider was a the show (although he didn't bring any birds) and he had a camera so when he sends me the picture I'll post it here.

Jason also showed in bantam Buckeyes, along with Russ Crevoiserat, and Russ won BB and RB (after joining the ABPC, natch.)

It was a LONG drive (16 hours) but a great show. Now I'm off to catch up on my sleep and then the rest of my email and messages. Will post more soon!

Congratulations on your wins!!

I had no idea Bob was going to the show. Did he take any birds???

I had a very young bantam Araucana pullet there and I am now waiting on her to get home (via Express mail). : )

They're here! . Well, almost. Got my first pip in the hatcher. A day late, but I was expecting that as I had a slow time getting my temperature up the first couple of day. I have 2 out of 4 bantams out in one hatcher and the first pip in the large fowl hatcher where I have 49 eggs that I'm hatching for a friend in the next town over. I can't wait till I'm hatching for me! But this is great.

Glad to here about your win Laura.I think I am going to be showing for my first time at a show in Febuary.I am getting excited about it.Also I got way backed up on egg orders but I am sending my last order on my list Wednesday so if anyone wants more hatching eggs I could get a batch out Monday morning.

Which show are you going to, Dalton? I am toying with the idea of going down for it, if I can justify the expense.
