Kathy and Germaine, I should order some more eggs from James and join you. I have some in my bator already due on the 28th but I haven't really found a thread I wanted to join in with to hatch. I had a lot of fun on the Christmas and New Years hatches. Good luck with your hatches, mine are all developing nicely except for 1 or 2.

YES, you should! We would love to have you in our thread, regardless! Come on over! Germaine and I have been talking. We are both soooo excited about these Buckeyes! I can hardly wait to see the little buggers! I have never in my life seen a Buckeye!

My husband would have a fit if I order any more eggs right now. I have 4 Buckeye babies from my first hatch with Laura's eggs and hopefully will get several more with James's eggs. I also have 1 cockerel and 1 pullett already. I think I have a good start right now with Buckeyes, but I would love to get some more. I also don't have room in my brooder, there are 19 babies in there now. Maybe soon....
<walks away scratching head and wondering where to build more brooders>

Brooders for chicks are easy. Go to your local furniture store and get some BIG cardboard boxes. Hang a light over them, and voila. What's hard is pens for the teenagers. That's where I always run into trouble!

Pens for teenagers, I am going to have to come up with some of those soon. I could do the cardboard box thing if my husband would let me put them in the garage. I have had chickens in there off and on for the last 8 months. He put his foot down and said he wanted his garage back.

The pictures I have seen on this thread are beautiful of the adults and chicks. Does anybody have any pictures of them in different stages of growth that they could post.
