Hi guys,

Thanks for all your kind words! The next time I am down at the farm in the fall I can get some Buckeye seeds to send you all if you'd like. Don't think the ones I have saved are still viable. But would be happy to send one to anyone who wanted one just to have.

waiting for 1st eggs but tis very cold! Will they raise their own in the spring or do they need help??

Reading all of this is getting me excited for spring time!
Buckeyes will be my first chickens. I've been doing a lot of research on the different breeds, and have settled on buckeyes, as they seem ideal for my needs.
I would really like to have had them by now, but work on the coop has been slow going, due to long hours at work, followed by lack of funds, and of course, the hunting season

I hope to have everything done, and get my chicks by March. I can't wait!
