I've got about 65 in the hatcher along with a couple dozen assorted bantams.

My hatch is finished. From the dozen eggs, I had 2 clear, 2 quitters, and I got 8 chicks! I'm so happy. Eventually they will join the 9 from the first hatch, and I will have my Buckeye flock! YAY!!!

Kathy, that is fantastic! I have some of James that I put in too and fingers crossed I get that many! I would be thrilled with eight.

Glad to hear you had a good hatch Kathy.I got 1 dozen Buckeye eggs from rnau and he shipped me 15.Five were clear when I candled on day ten.
That leaves me ten in the bator that go on lockdown tomorrow.If I can hatch another eight chicks to eventually combine with my first ten I will be thrilled.

I just wanted to say SHAME ON YOU! All of you. Thanks to you people I have decided that I simply must add a flock of Buckeyes this year. I've been toying with the idea of have a dual purpose flock instead of buying more Cornish X, but I'd promised my husband I wouldn't make him build me yet another coop (that would be coop number five) and now I"m going to break a promise to my poor suffering spouse and it's all YOUR FAULT! I hope you're all properly embarrassed and that you'll sell me eggs later on.

I have 7 out and 2 pipped, the last one hasn't pipped yet, but we are just now on day 21 so I am not too worried yet.
