Janet, Have you been to Sedalia shows before? I went to one there (only show I have ever been to), but it was very small. Mostly bantams (mostly Silkies, actually). I may have to go and check this one out. Do you know how big it will be?

Anyway, good luck to you!

Wow, what a great turnout for the Arkansas State Fair. I haven't counted, but we must have about 20 buckeyes there.Judging will be tomorrow. I can't wait. But I can't be there, so I'm supposed to get a play by play from my daughter. I made a display board with buckeye history, description, and club information.

Thanks, Kathy!

I went to the show last Spring, and yes, it was rather small. There were two Buckeyes entered, but they didn't show, and I don't remember the party's name.

It's too close to pass up, and I just want to get the Buckeyes *out there*.

If you do attend, please look me up! I'll be clerking for a Bantam judge during the judging time, but will need to be there throughout the day.

Hope to meet you!

Oh yes, I'll be at the OH National, never fear, it's the only show I'll be going to this year, more's the pity. With my older daughter off to college, my show budget has taken a big hit (we were initially told she could pay in-state tuition, and we didn't find out she wasn't eligible for it until AFTER she had enrolled, and it costs an extra $13k a year for out of state!) So I've cut back on both numbers of birds and number of shows. But still have my beloved Buckeyes.

And hey, if you all are planning on going to the OH National, better get your entries in the mail today! Entries close on the 16th.

See you there (where we'll be missing Chris!)

12 of my Buckeye eggs made it to lock down! 5 from one line, 7 from another woohoooooooo hatch is due Tuesday. I am so thrilled while I look at all your wonderful pictures of Buckeyes. It will be a fun and long adventure ahead

Got a healthy hatch of 8 baby Buckeyes!

Man those little suckers are so energentic after karate chopping out of their eggs! Bouncing all over the place. I'm hoping for a more successful hatch with my next batch of eggs I'm getting. 8 birds and wanting to get some excellent looking birds for showing cuts my odds a bit. There all going to be wonderful looking right and I won't have to cull any!

Wish I could take a picture but my camera is broke

My daughter reports that there are actually 31 buckeyes! I don't know how many of which.
I got 1st 2nd and 4th cockerel, #1 rooster, (condolences Jim), and #1 young trio. I don't know what the total numbers were in each class, but I'm happy.

Did good in the bantams too, but i don't know exactly what, I had a rooster and two hens.
