Hi there, quick question - I have a really old budgie called Miffy. (He is a dark-ish blue colour with black and white wings btw) Today I noticed all his nails are a silvery colour but one of his back ones on the right foot is white-ish? Never noticed this before although it’s possible it’s always been there. Should I be worried?

Unless it looks like it was somehow injured in the past I don't think it's anything. And even if that did happen, it's possibly just remains from a scar of somesort. A picture would give a clearer understanding.

Okay, thanks! Hope this picture is okay, you can see the light coloured nail against a silvery nail. And yes, I need to trim them. And suggestions for how Miffy can keep his nails a bit shorter for longer?

It could be just the way he is like some dogs have different colored nailes but that budgies nails need to be trimmed
