I would never pay someone to care for my birds as its my hobby and if I dont have time to breed then id sooner sell them and last time i trusted a family member with my birds 7/12 died from starvation. So now if im away for a weekend i over feed them with a chick feeder last at least 3 days. As for the colors ive had that happen with spangled opalines i gave up on those as they all kept dying but the normals lived. Right now I have way to many so i will be taking a year off of breeding.

Everyone's situation is unique, and different. Zoohtasim did not choose to be away from his birds voluntarily,,, like take an extended vacation.

I'm travelling for my sister's board exams unfortunately, and as my father is a military personnel, he has been given a person to take care of his pets. Those are my uncles. He pays them. Now because I care a lot about my birds, I do most of the bird duties, but sometimes he may clean the cages. But when I'm away (for a month this time) I cannot just overfeed them and come away. I also had my exams so yeah

New pair alert!! The mother from the first clutch and father from the second clutch!! Excited for more jumbo babies and clearflight pied babies. By the way, the babies from the first clutch turned out HUGE!! So I was successful in making jumbo birbs

It's quite hard to get a pic comparing them as none of them are tamed BUT when I take them in my hand, I can clearly feel that the babies are very big! It can be seen visually too, so I hope to take a pic somehow showing it. And if I have to say now, the babies would be roughly 1.5 times the parents!
