Budgies!!

Oh! I love budges! Have had many over the years, mostly rescues but a few others simply because I fell in love at the pet stores. They are sweet, intelligent, friendly birds (especially the males.) If you keep them by themselves they may decide you are their mate! If you want them to mimic sounds, it works best if they see you this way. They can mimic words as well as other sounds so be careful what sounds you direct at them. I had a different whistle for hello and goodbye, and several copied that instead of the words. Oops! I had one who spent most of the day on my head, preening me. Thankfully, he was potty trained (not by me!) so he flew to his cage, to his bathroom corner when he had to go! In a group aviary, they will pair up but still interact with the flock. Enjoy your adventure! That's my best advice.

I have a chicken that gets on my head and she gets off when she has to potty X3
