Oh, he has no problem eating in front of me. He does search for seeds that may have dropped from the millet into his food, but doesn't eat the pellets (no seed mixed in). And a I said, it's the same exact food they were feeding him at the store, which is what frustrates me (I don't show it in front of him, as I'm still earning his trust; he'll stand on my hand for some millet).
But someone went out of town today (we're 2.5+ hours away from any real store) and I asked them to get some food that is the seed kind. I'll mix it in with the pellets. I'm glad they called me, though. They were looking at treats, I told them it would be in a bag, not on a stick, lol.
