Budgies!!

Hey, Peep Peep Peep, do you think holding Mika with a towel would work? He loves scratching his head so I could scratch his head and see how that works.

Maybe. Like said I would have to meet him to give the best advice but you could try it.

Super Cute!

The budgie was quite curious, and keeps clinging to the back of the cage to try and see the babies (talks to them, too). He/she was still curious, even after the chicks started pecking his/her beak and toes (though gave them an irritated, gentle nip of his/her own).

Do male budgies help care for babies?

My budgie is quite insistent on trying to get to the baby chicks (chicken) every once in a while when they start peeping loudly (because they stayed out from under the heat plate too long and think they're freezing to death).

Just hoping it's not a sign of a female, as I do want a male. So I'm hoping male budgies also care for babies.

Males and females are actually the same in attitude and ability to talk, the females just are a little more cautious than males. ;)

Male budgies help female budgies care for the young ;)
