Buff Barred Cochin Thread

I have a color question and don't know who to ask!....... I have a Barred Roo (Hatchery) and a Red Colombian Hen (Home Bred)...... If I bred them together I'll get 100% barred babies right (or so I'm told)?? If I take one of the barred cockerels from the babies and breed him to another red Colombian ideally would I get other colors besides black barred?

Black covers up red so I would expect all the offspring to be barred like the roo. Red is super hard to get after introducing black, if ever. I am not sure you could cross siblings or even continue to go back to red and it help.

if ever? Barred Rock like roo mated to a Red Columbian hen wil produce chicks that will hatch all black(cream belly with cream head dot) and will mature to be mostly all barred with some color leaking, but this is due to the power of Extended Black(E) which the father had two copies of it(E/E) while mother are eb or eWh which is act as recessive to E, so the F1 chicks will be E/eb or E/eWh.... if any of those males are crossed back to a Red Columbian then 50% of the chicks will be eb/eb and 50% will be E/eb.. 50% of the eb/eb columban chicks should be Barred

Well, considering I was told my buff crossed with black barred would only get me black barred I am speaking from experience. My F1 from that cross produced barred with a lot of buff leakage. Yes, they hatch out black.
I am pretty sure that generations down the line would not yield buff or red barred birds. But I never say never because there have been plenty of times that what is written on paper is not read by the birds DNA. Hence, all our new beautiful patterns and colors in birds over the last 40 years. Science is still too new to understanding all that happens.

Nugget- I bet you all can guess what he's been up to. He ought to get it in his head that my LF Cochin cockerels aren't a group to try and steal hens from. I haven't been home long enough to get pics of him when the sun is shining. I would really like to enter him i the calender contest but I don't have any really good pics of him.

Then their is my little man-
