Buff Barred Cochin Thread

Just keep asking around and you will eventually find what your looking for. If you haven't yet found what you want in 3 months ask me again and I should have something for you.;)

Thank you! I'd like to find something soon, I'll keep trying! Thanks again :D

Beautiful Frizzles, Nancy!

Lil Man seems like he is going to grow up to be super handsome and full of himself, Mike!

I'm getting breeding pens ready for the Buff Barred. They are all still in serious molt but I got a couple pics today of pattern on the girls & my two boys who will be taking care of their 11 girls.

Lynne! The girls are looking really nice!
I hope I get good barring on my girls like that.
I have yet to read all the material on barring. I have a stack of books on all sorts of things I want to learn more about but work is getting in the way.

Here is a roo that Aarron was excited for me to get and use. I actually, right now, have 6 boys to choose from and Dynamite, of course is still in his breeding pen and Sweet Wheat is in another one as well as BBQ, in his.
So this young man will have to mature a bit more and show me his stuff. Since Aarron loved him so much and I am waiting to see what he will grow up to look like I call him my A Game.

Amy, he looks very promising. No wonder Aarron liked him~! Mine still look awful with their molt but that will pass. My boy "Little John" (Blk Barred split to Buff) is still recuperating from an impacted crop in early Sept. After the surgery I hand fed him for 3 weeks before he decided to eat on his own. I'm so glad as he is a beautiful boy when he is in his prime. I just love this color & I know you are having fun with it as well :)

Amy, A Gam looks like he will have some A game. I can't wait to see how he matures.

Lynne, I love Little John. From the pic you would never think he had surgery.

Nice young cockerel Amy.
Lynne, I like that boy Little John, what a looker - both boys - and glad he recovered so nicely.... But that HEN! Best barring on a hen I've ever seen! Love her.

Thanks Nancy~! Of the 11 gilrs in the breeding pen, only one does not display barring. I hope next Springs' chicks show even more definition. :)
