True, but she doesn’t find his size a contributing factor and isn’t afraid of him. A 12 pound bird might be different.
 
Not to completely disagree with @FarmerGirl101, but with my own rooster I've found the below approach works best. Mind you, I bought my rooster when he was 2 years old, a couple of months back, and he's the sweetest gentleman with his flock. He's never looked at me or my kids aggressively, BUT... I don't pick him up, I don't treat him at all, I treat the girls and coo at them, but not him. He gets out of my way and respects me as a result.
