These are what I believe to Buff Brahma Bantams. They are both 5 weeks old. I have pics of both of their combs they switched places, not the same bird. Do you think they are hens? The comb area isn’t orange/ dark.

I was actually thinking the one with the slightly pinkish comb (while unusual) is more likely a hen, feathering looks like it came in a little sooner on the head, and the comb is a little narrower. The other one looks like it's getting size more quickly and is slower feathering, which I think is a brama thing. Also has a wider comb... but maybe both boys?

What are their temperaments like? We have three Brahma chicks, six weeks old, and the one who's pretty clearly a rooster at this point, at least compared to the others, was much more feisty, even though he was smaller when we got him, and his feathers came in more slowly. He's still more feisty, and he is now bigger than the other two. With the same wide comb yet slightly more fluffy head as the one of yours I think is very likely a boy.

Take a peek at the dates in the original posts here on the breed/gender forum. Most of the topics are time sensitive, and since this is about 3 months old, the original poster certainly knows what they have on their hands now.

Reviving older posts can mucky up the new threads 👍

Happy to have you hear on BYC. Fun, isn't it?

Makes sense... since I've already done it here I'll risk being annoying for one more day to ask what the OP ended up with...

Hi, appparently I've revived an old post, while I'm here I thought I might ask for updates, what did they turn out to be?
