Dude is OK, and the three Africans are Ok. At least, OK enough to be hiding under my kitchen porch, and pretty much refusing to come out. 4 sebbies hiding with them, 1 buff there too, I think.

The other buff, he's got blood in his mouth from a tongue bite, from the looks of things. He is very scared. I do not think he had internal injuries, but a whole in the middle of his tongue. He's hiding with his face in strawbales when I left. Baby girl gets very excited to see mama. Duck is under some straw, other wrapped in rags in the bathroom. That Ancona is toally missing all the feathers on the middle of his back in a 5" circle, more or less, with 4 very severe toothmarks in his back, with a big tear between two of them. He's in a rough way, and the worst surving victem.

You don't want to hear the details of the other deaths, let me just say that the duck yard looks like Jamestown the morning after. As dark was falling, DH and elder DD had their hands full of legs, making a pile. The three lost geese are still in the pond, as it got dark, and I hadn't the heart to view them. They tried to escape into the duck muck, the poor things. I just can't believe I'm wiped out of ducks. I might have 4 left. 4 ducks, out of something like 45. F O U R.

Dont forget to add in the revenue loss from egg sales, as well as the cost to feed them all March - November which I estimated to be minimum 300 a month for that group putting feed at $2700

Sounds like your place is the worst kind of massacre site. At least your two buffs will probably make it. That's something. OMG about the losses on the ducks, too. My ducks just stopped laying, but I can separate my ancona trio and send you eggs when they start up again. How are your kids holding up??

Any idea who the owner of the dogs is?

Girls are upset. Julia (age 7) just sat down and cried. She loves everyone. Ruth lost all of her ducks. Bruce lost his only goose (Lady, who hatched on his birthday). I've never ever had this kind of massacre. I'm still kind of stunned. Not looking forward to a clear view in the morning. Got to get pics, in case we find dog owners, or they call looking for their dogs. I'm going to go ask around with my neighbors, to see if I can find out which house, then let police know whom to go talk to. I myself, nor my household, will go talk to them personally though. I'm getting replacement estimates for equal stock from Celtic, since I've purchased some of the killed stock from her, as recently as a couple of weeks ago for the last one. I intend to purse this lawsuit, if we find the owners.
