Buff Dewlap Toulouse Thread

Marty, I hope you get better fast and get back to your flocks and herds of goats! Based on their behavior, Iain and I had just about decided that Atticus was actually a girl, but so far I haven't ever seen them actually do the deed and there have been no eggs. I'm beginning to think Finch just likes boys!

Buffs are laying up a storm.

Have gosling hatching in the bator.

Africans finally started laying the biggest eggs of all.

I have been in the hospital w/pneumonia since Tuesday. My DH did bring me the computer once, but I didn't feel like doing much.
O h my goodness Marty, I sure hope you feel better real soon.

Oh my gosh, Marty! You must have had it bad to be hospitalized. Hope you are feeling better now.

Marty you have been sick now for awhile I been keeping up. I sure send prayers your way to help recover real soon. HAPPY EASTER to you and the family as well.

get better soon Marty. Are any of your dewlaps fertile yet?
Only babies we have on the way are Embdens. Dewlaps aren't fertile... and Sebbies still aint laying.

Healing vibes coming your way! Pneumonia is miserable. I've been hospitalized for it myself after a doc misdiagnosed me as having a sinus infection.

Hi all.

I have not even set any dewlaps or Africans yet. I've only got 3 Af. eggs, and I do have a load of buffs (DH is eating the older ones, and any really dirty eggs he washes and eats) but I will set them once this hatch is out of the way.

I have a baby sebbie all the way out, and 5 pips that haven't started unzipping yet.

I talked to an expert dewlap Toulouse breeder who told me homosexual gander relationships are not uncommon. I have a buff yearling boy that is devoted to another buff boy, even though there are available girls in his yard.

While I have seen fertility in my yearlings, they are not developing. My 2yo trio are the only ones growing strong.

Amazed your Africans are only starting. My whites have been laying for a month now and are still laying regularly. On the other hand, my yearling dewlaps laid 11 eggs each and 2 went broody last week. My 2yo trio have laid 6-7 eggs now. I'll be curious to see if they quit at 11 too.

Congrats on the sebbie babies hatching!!!

I'm having the same problem with Dora.. it's her first year and the eggs that are fertile are quitting. BUT Squishy is also matine with Fred (2yr) and her's are growing... I figure it's a wait and see game at this point.

Napoleon and Josephine are both at about 20 eggs each and no sign of broodiness
Congrats on the sebbie babies hatching!!!
