I have a 9 month old Buff Orpington who’s comb is dry, pale, and has a couple small scabs. It’s a little droopy, too. She doesn’t seem herself, either. She’s constantly laying in the nest and sometimes when I check on her, she seems to be “panting,” as if under stress or hot. It’s definitely not too hot—high 70’s right now.
I’ve read that they the combs can become a little pale if they’re molting or taking a break from laying, but I’m concerned about all of her behavior. I hardly see her out of the coop with the others during the day. And she’s by far my friendliest chicken who typically follows me around the yard.
Anyone have any idea of what this could be? The scabs don’t like fowl pox to me, but I have no experience with that, so I’m just not sure. Any help or insight would be appreciated!! (Pictures attached)

Is she broody? When was the last time she laid a egg?

Scabs on the comb look like peck marks.
It’s been a couple of days since she’s laid. I just noticed that she’s scratching her comb and rubbing her beak on the ground a lot. I brought her out to get water and food—she hadn’t been out of the nesting box all day. She ate a bit and drank a lot of water, but then went right back in after being out for maybe 15 minutes.
