Buff-Laced Bantam Polish Eggs, frizzle & smooth, 6+

In my experience, the shipping isn't any harder on Polish eggs than any other breeds. The USPS can shake, rattle and roll any package at any time, leaving the embryos damaged and causing a bad hatch. Recently, on mailed buff-laced eggs, I've gotten reports of 90-100% fertility! On the other hand, one package was in the mail for 8 days....with no development at all. But, what can you expect at that point, really.

Hi Kelly,

Please don't base development of shipped Polish eggs on what you would have gotten from someone's tolbunt eggs. You probably got those eggs from Lucinda, right? She normally has good fertility rate on her tolbunt eggs and has lovely birds. You see, yes, tolbunts are Polish, but the gene pool on tolbunts is sooooo very small here in the US that fertility is negatively effected and so is chick vigor. That is something that devoted tolbunt breeders are trying to improve.

My buff-laced Polish eggs seem to travel very well, as long as the USPS doesn't play football with the box.

Well.....no, sorry. I got report of 4 out of the 8 shipped tolbunt eggs from my test auction developing. So, now these babies are going into my incubator until I feel I have enough chicks hatched out to boost my flock. If there are any eggs still being laid after that, I may consider another auction. Thanks for asking, though, glad you like my birds!

I don't base all Polish on that experience...otherwise I wouldn't be bidding on these.
