Beautiful boy! His tail is already a rooster tail, look at the drooping, pointed tail feathers, especially in the last photo. Face is much too red for a 11 week orpington hen.Hello! This is my 10-11 week old buff Orpington, Daisy. I am not sure about gender. Was a very friendly, curious, brave little thing as a chick. Anyone have thoughts? Not crowing yet, but does make strange loud squawks not made by my other chickens. Grew very fast, and is equal in size to my 1 year old Wyandotte’s, and has huge feet. Some say rooster, others say it’s typical of the breed to have this big of wattle and comb at this young of age as a hen... I’m confused

As you might have noticed from my signature, I know what the other option is! I ate some of my orpington boys, they are not as big as they look, much better for making more orps! Sorry that you can not keep him.He is beautiful! And I am so sad I can’t keep him
