Buff Orpington .. Boy or Girl?

I second that. Your BO are just gorgeous! My buff took the longest to lay as well. Being a larger breed makes them take a little longer to mature, just like with dogs.

I'm pretty sure the one in the tomatoes is a pullet .. but, you never know .. until you KNOW, huh? I'm pretty sure these girls came from McMurray & ... because that's the catalog they pulled.
I kinda had my heart set on the Delawares because I like the looks of them. But my little chickie-poos are my love, now

This was my first time so I played it safe and went to the feed store. As it happens, they weren't moving their chicks very well so I held off until they were about 2 weeks old. I was too afraid of them dying to take the chance with eggs.

Where did I get them? Got 'em at a local feed store here in Northern, northern California ... just a couple hours south of Oregon. I believe they purchased the eggs via McMurray.
They eat well My swiss chard, celery and most of my tomato leaves, and a few strawberry plants have fallen prey to their appetite. It's okay, though .. it all grows back
