I bought this buff Orpington with another one that recently passed away, I bought them both when they were 2 days old. This one is now 14 weeks, he is supposed to be a sexed female, but I am thinking those are saddle feathers I am seeing... ugh. This is my only remaining BO, and I will be sad if I have to find him a new home. I thought it was a girl based on how it acts, but my other cockerel who I currently have to rehome keeps attacking it. Plus it was always twice the size of the one that died.

Thank you guys so much... Then maybe my rooster is just trying to mate with her? He really loves one of my red sex-links, and he has been going after this one. He pulled out a few feathers today, probably because she is running like crazy. She is only 14 weeks though... my roo seems like a perv lol. He has to go though. If anyone wants an very pretty RIR that is 18 weeks and doesn't crow very often, you are welcome to him. I'm in SoCal.
Pullet. I'm certain it's a SHE. She's just going through an awkward stage.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I agree that I think she is a pullet.

i think pullet as well.. looks so much like my girls at that stage.. and i had one girl that was HUGE compared to the rest of the girls..
