No...that would be an egg squat for mating...she's submitting to you...the egg squat is a tell tale sign of a pullet getting ready to lay.

I think you are about right as to age...that would be a 2 week old chick....size in photos look right as does down to feathers under heat lamp conditions.

My Buffs were about that old and had bright red combs and had begun to lay shortly.

She's also filling in and looking less lanky...all that with the egg squat says she'll be laying soon...watch for her lingering in the nest area or somewhere else outside...new layers often try to lay outside the nest if there are other layers more senior.

Appears to be a pullet, but it is early. It could end up a cockeral
