*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Thanks. Not that I am still not hoping that my chicken magically changes to female. That would make life easier.

That last photo of your Lou really shows how early the rooster comb becomes present, he looks about 8 weeks old in that one, so I'd agree with his age estimate of three months. Just for comparison here's my almost 4 month old pullet.

I know I have the snowballs chance in hell.

I just don't know how to break it to the 4 and 2.5 year old that their favorite pet is destined to be rehomed to a farm over an hour away. *thank heaven for that farm* For the record, I didn't buy the chicken, it was wandering stray in the neighborhood and got in my car.

I concur. He is looking like our larger BO roo. He is now up for adoption. With the bigger BO roo and the two small bantam roos, he is the one that has to leave.

alright, Hen or roo? I am guessing Roo. He/she is around 25 weeks old.

25 weeks and not crowing? The combs and wattles look about right for 25 wk pullet, our pullet buffs are 20 weeks with slightly smaller but definitely looks like yours
