I am not a pro, being a first time chicken keeper to 4 buff orpington hens since early spring. Mine are about this age or a bit more and I would say "uh oh, looks like a roo to me"...

Their are no saddle feathers and the hackles don't look pointy to me. At that age the comb and wattles will already be red. I have younger hens who are laying already. If that's a boy their would be other signs like trying to mate the hens, crowing etc..
There has been no crowing that we have heard and definitely not mating either.
