I have 5 hatchery chicks who are all about 5 weeks old. I noticed one of the two BO chicks is feathering differently and still barely has tail feathers and the feathers in general seem shorter and less full. So far the combs on both birds look the same. Thoughts? Is it still too early to tell for sure?

You have pullets 100%! I've been raising them for a long time and that is what all my girls looked like.

Thank you!! I was hoping they are both pullets because I can't have a rooster in the city. The buffs are so sweet, I'd be sad if I had to give one up!
