Buff Orpingtons

Hi! I have two buff Orpingtons I’m becoming obsessed with. Can anyone tell their sexes? I have labeled the photos of the two birds #1 and #2. I hope this is clear.
Please tell me they are pullets!! Nearly 4 wks old.

Much much too young to figure out their gender. You have to wait until they're fully feathered and about 6-8 weeks.
They're very cute though!

Not sure on the sex but that color is definitely not buff. The buff orpington would be gold.

I don't have Orpington's, so I wasn't sure. I'd thought that the coloring looked more like my buckeye, which is red, than my buff brahma.

Wait, don't Orpingtons have white legs? I don't think those are orpingtons at all.

Yes, I think they supposed to have the white legs. Lighter beak as well.

I got these from a 4-H rep and they are part of my new flock of Cochins, one silkie, and Ameracaunas. She did mention some may have been crossed with RI Red?

You've got Rhode Island Reds or Production Reds. To young to sex accurately at this age.
