Buff Orpingtons

Salve&Fluffer :

I think that if she does want to attack them, she just respects the boundary line. I hope that why she does not attack them is because she is starting to accept them.

Well I hope she's starting to accept them too but I dunno. LOL I just keep trying to give them more & more time to free range around each other. She sort of mixes in but will chase when the mood strikes her. yikes...

I thought that americanas and EEs were the same breed?.

Ameraucanas are a specific breed with standards. EEs are mutts/cross breeds that at some point had a blue egg layer in their gene pool. A lot of the time they look just like Ameraucanas but will have the wrong coloring somewhere. It doesn't help that some hatcheries sell EEs as Ameraucanas.

Wow! I didn't realize that there were so many Buff Orpington fans out there. I once spoke to someone who had them and felt that they just sat there and weren't very interesting so I ruled them out. But after reading your experiences, I might consider them!
