Buff Orpingtons

ok kiddies here's a picture of my Mr. Standoffish, He's a little part ham when it comes to the camera & I think he loves when the girls all fall all over him & follow him etc. Though I'm afraid sometimes he is as my sons would say "girl driven"? LOL I've 4 BO pullets they're all about 15 weeks now & the Austrolorp is now 6 months. So they sort of treat him like a heart throb & crowd around him at nap time etc & the Astrolorp tells him what to do. I think she's starting to back down now though cause he's now bigger than her.

Ohmygosh Indiana I love this picture. I've such trouble getting pics of my BO pullets! They're all adorable of course & curious as well and so when I try to get pictures of them they are all so entralled with the camera that it usually ends up like this.

& now I noticed you have golden laced Wyonettes? What is their temprements in comparison do they all get along well? I'd considered getting a couple of them next spring but I wasn't sure I should rock the boat since I've got them all settled into liking each other. The Austrolorp I had to stay right on top of when I'd first introduced them all & I didn't think I'd ever get her in with them for good.

:lol:the head and toe shot is a riot!

My Brewster and his 7 BO ladies have grown up a bit more, he's also got Peppermint Patty the RIR hen and 2-3 GLW hens so after I clean coops tomorrow, I'll post pics of them enjoying the clean straw:)

My BO flock (8) eat twice as much and twice as fast than any of the other flocks! I'm wondering if I get the bantam BO's if they're the same on feed? I love their sunshiney color so all 7 hens are called the "Sunshine Sisters."

I also noticed last night their eggs have begun increasing in size as they mature, too. Mine will be a year old this Spring/Early summer. When I begin switching over to bantams I still want to keep my BO roo w/2-3 of his ladies as he's a very smart guy to have stood at the fence and watched for 3 days straight on how to become a great roo from my bantam roo named Cockadoodle.

Forgot to include, my BO's are not noisy, I don't think any of my chicken flocks are noisy, just the ducks and geese;)

I've been told these are Buff Orpingtons...so here are my little darlings. They are not as friendly as the White Leghorns I have but they are getting better as they grow!
