Buff Silkie Thread!

I was thinking that first I would cull for any serious defects, (Single Comb, Blue Skin, Incorrect number of toes) and then color, and then over all type. I think since buff is a hard color, that it would be good to establish the color THEN type. But of course im starting with quality birds so type is decent to begin with. Idk, just my (inexperienced) thoughts
 
Great idea for a thread! Also thanks for clarifying that a buff can be shown with off color in the wings or lighter undercolor...the standard states each to be a defect rather than DQ. And a helpful note on the blue skin as the buffs sure seem to tend to that color. Here's a few of mine I'm working on....

recently bought some buff silkie eggs on ebay. Put them in the bator on the 4th. Candled yesterday, and EIGHT are developing!!! Woot!!! I sure do hope I will have some pics to post on this thread soon... Just wanted to pre-warn you I have an evil plan in place so I can crash the party soon!!!
