Definitely find her a new buddy. You will still need to mix them together slowly, but Buffy will eventually accept her.

For what it's worth... I raise birds for eggs and meat. And it simply doesn't matter what their purpose was, it hurts when they are gone. We have a tradition in my family... He/she who is closest to the bird will dispatch the bird when it's time. A premature loss is never well received. But who is most likely to provide the most pain free and compassionate dispatch? I'm comforted knowing that my birds led a well loved, happy and natural bird life before they became nourishment for my family and am always angry when they became nourishment for a predator or other event.

Welcome to BYC. Get two new hens. That way Buffy will have to spread her dominance around, and when something happens to one in the future - two will remain as company for one another. Oh, what the heck, get 4 or 5 more.
