Bug inside the egg--YUK

Sorry, but

. There have been cases (on BYC) where worms and horsefly larvae have been found in eggs, so it's not impossible for a beetle-type bug to be found. They somehow end up in the oviduct (I think) during egg formation and the shell forms around it. A rare find indeed! I hope you're not sour on boiled eggs now.

Imp - what a strange find that lizard must have been!

Are you sure the bug was in the egg and maybe not in the bowl you used? Sometimes I find dead beetles in my mixing bowls I havent used in awhile.

Yes, egg and pickle relish..I like dill, but some use sweet pickle...it's basically egg salad with tuna in it...no bugs though. I find this as interesting as the bug part

I've never heard of such a thing and I've eaten fresh eggs all my life. YUCK! As far as eggs in tuna, really that is the ONLY way to eat tuna... otherwise why even eat the stuff! LOL I'm originally from Tennessee though so that could be the problem.

I no longer boil my eggs cause it is impossible to peal a fresh boiled egg so I poach mine... I would find it before I ate it. As far as a blood spot, that would be on the yolk not the white. Yuck and double yuck but at least you found it before you ate it. That is something right???
