Building A Churkey(Turkey Imposter)

I will most like start this project once I'm done with my first two projects. Giant Silkies, & Wheaten Crele Orpingtons.

If you don't have the space for turkey's then how are you going to keep 'turkey impostors'? Makes no sense

We have 5 Broad Breasted Bronze poults out in the coop.

I don't have the space for turkeys, & I don't know much about breeding turkeys.

There are small turkeys, like royal palms, that are the size you are trying to achieve (10-15 lbs). A 10-15 lb chicken obviously takes up the same space.

What I mean is I don't have a separate coop for Turkey.

We raise them up to about 6-7 months, & butcher them for Thanksgiving. They're not there permanently.

I don't breed Turkeys I order turkeys once a year.

We have a Bourbon Red Turkey hen.

I know there's Heritage Turkeys. Turkeys require more space then chickens.

Only if they are bigger. Turkeys in general scratch less, and make less mess in the space they have. But I get it, you just don't like turkeys. OK.

My dad is a bigger fan of turkeys. I'm not much of Turkey person myself, but I do enjoy eating them.

I love chickens, & creating new varieties.
