Building a new quail incubator (more pics added)

No it's not cedar, it's cheap pine that has been sitting around outside for years. The cut edges do look like cedar in these pictures.

paddock36, yes I do just tilt the boxes. I cut a egg carton and use it to prop it up. Then just change the tilt 2-3 times a day.

Thanks for telling me. I have a homemade incubator and was trying to figure out a turner for eggs that small, but now I'm just going to build a little box.

I DIDNT WANT YOUR PROJECT TO GO SOUTH ON YOU AT THIS POINT IN TIME OVER SOMETHING EASILY OVERLOOKED. LOOKS GOOD. I HOPE IT DOES WELL FOR YOU!

It was doing great for the first 6 days, but yesterday it started fluctuating temperatures quite a bit. It went down to 94°. It was hard to get it back up. Nothing changed. So for now, I spliced in a light bulb in to the bottom of the incubator to see if that will help with the temperature. I don't know what is going on. Well, the joys of not paying for a professional one.

Yes, I have a large quart jar of water but it wasn't up near the heater, it was at the bottom (it is now by the light bulb).

What else do people use as heat sinks?
