Temperatures warmed up enough that I got the rest of the siding on the front, far end and the back. I got all my white aluminum f channel, soffit, facia and custom bent materials around to start installing when it started to rain, so maybe tomorrow will be a nicer day and I can get that part done.

So here is the picture of the front with Red siding and white vinyl trim installed. Little coop sure looks small now.

This is the far end, all done in Red vinyl siding and white vinyl trim.

The backside also done the same way.

The remaining end needs a chicken door framed and trimmed in aluminum, and the man door installed before I begin siding this part. Also that area up above that gets the small windows needs work. Worst case scenario I will cover it with Tyvek while I get the little windows built. That way everything is covered and protected from the "elements of nature"

So here is hoping the rains stops and the temps stay at least decent enough to install the white aluminum tomorrow.

Hi Steve:

I've been reading through the posts and drooling over the pictures. I have a feeling that some people's homes aren't nearly as well-made as your henhouse! Now you've really got me in the mood to have my Dad design and build (w/ my help, of course --- have toolbelt, will travel...) a larger coop. Right now I only have 2 hens and 2 roos, but I have one of the girls sitting on a nest with 8 eggs and I'm going to be incubating more fowl starting in March.

Anyway, just wanted to say GREAT JOB !

Gwen

So when you move that nice hen house are you just going to drag it with a tractor to get it to its final resting place? When you set your new coop in place are you just going to set it right on the ground or are you going to put something under the skids?
