Building an "Old Style" henhouse.....move in day!....... (pics)

Afraid of rooster overload? When Bonnie turned into Clyde you just left him at my house and I did the deed and took the sweet guy to Columbiaville. I still feel like pond scum.

Okay...okay....okay.

I am going to delve deeper than my local lumber yard and see if I can find an operational window to fit up there.

Ya'll are waaay to determined.

Steve, my husband says thanks for making such a cool henhouse, because now he has to make me one. I Love It. Looks to me like you know what your doing. Great job.
My husband sure liked the floor inspectors.

That's cuz I couldn't do it to that sweet roo....that I was trying to get Steve to take him. He was the sweetest thing. Hope someone took him and gave him a good home. So, no hatching for me.... I just don't have it in me to "dispatch" the roos.

I am absolutely loving this thread! Thanks so much for taking the time to post pics thru out the "birth" of your coop.

I saw a post some time ago, and mind you, I'm only on a half cup of coffee here, but the OP had a a great fixed tilt-in window. Maybe someone will remember it. If I remember correctly, the only problem with it, was the chooks roosting on top of it when open! and configuring some wire around the sides for predator proofing. Maybe that is something you could utilize for those uppers.

LOVE the inspectors. You are so great to share all your pics with us. I love seeing the progress, you are really moving along. Of course with all those inspectors roaming around you really have to stay on your toes!
