Good point. One building I won't have to worry about developing ice dams.
I will definitely give it fascia boards with a drip edge all around.

That's actually considered bad practice, I've seen it on "common roof installation mistakes" lists. In fact if you do it this way, your wind warranty will be void because of improper installation. There's too little traction between the upside-down strip and the first row, so the first row can be lifted up by the wind. What's recommended to do instead is to use a regular strip right side up with the tabs cut off and the tar line along the roof edge, or buy and use starter strips for the edge.

Unless you meant this as a warning not to do that...?

Confirmed: rib steel roofing panels are not sold in Massachusetts
Got myself some shingles with flashing and all the extras. This is going to be one climby weekend.

I asked, and the HD associate has no idea why... They used to sell them but don't anymore. Oh well.

That's really weird.
Are there other places, other than big box, that do roofing?
We have some amish just moved here and built a brand new metal siding/roofing facility.

Rafters are up.
You can see how close the neighbor’s house is. They are literally looking down at the coop... Hence why we’ve been picky with the roofing material. Don’t want to put an eyesore right under their windows and start the chicken side of our relationship on the wrong foot... (especially since those people just moved in and I don’t know them yet).
