Building My First Coop

Pics
I use a ladder instead of a ramp. It's not connected to anything, so I just flip it the opposite way against the wall. Then I have clear access to the board to scoop and level out the PDZ.
A ramp would be more in my way, for my set up.

That's good to know . I wanted to keep the center of the coop as clear/open as I can , the nest box is opposite the roost poop boards and the ladder is just toe screws at top edges , I am going to pick up hooks for it and get rid of the screws so it will just be a lift and remove deal . A ramp would have needed more room than a ladder and if I need to expand the roosts /poop boards in the future the ladder will not interfere .

Got the P.T. strips over the hardware cloth on the coops 3 lower sides

Hooks installed on ladder so I can just lift it out of the way now for cleaning or better access .

Re worked ramp into coop , wider and longer and also attached with a hinge now , thanks to aart's recommendation .

All that's left really is the nesting box , gotta get the hasps on it , get dividers cut and installed and get a temp cover so I can close it off from the inside .

Looks great! Are you going to paint the strips over the HC and/or the run frame? Or the interior?

Thanks . I'm not going to paint any of the pressure treated wood , too much bleed through when its as wet/new as this is IMO . I don't plan on painting the interior either , out side of the floor which is painted already .

Picked up a load of wood chips / mulch for the run this morning , now to get it unloaded and carted to the coop .
