Building my first coop

Yeah I'm going to build a run in the spring. I'm hoping to get the coop fully enclosed before the snow hits.


Here is the inside showing the nesting boxes. I still have to build some trim for them.

 
Thank god I was able to get the roof and most of the siding on before the snow hit. This was one of the worst winter's we've ever had. There is still about 2' of snow surrounding it. Once it's all melted I'm going to put the last bit of trim and siding on. Then the work on the run begins...
 
Almost done, the run is near complete. All I need to do is paint the upper portion of the inside of the coop and install the electric fencing and cover on the run and it's done.








Excuse the mess of tools inside.


The coop door is raised by a pulley system, with the cord running outside the run.

 
I see very happy chickens in your future!!! Hope you will post some pictures of them in their new home.
