Building my new Jumbo Coturnix pen

I was going to say don't you think it's your bedtime since you have to get up and go to work in the morning, but then I realized you're 1 or 2 hours behind me!

I would think that your chickens will go on top of the lid as it isn't steep enough for them not to and their poo will contaminate the quails' feed and water. Also, as soon as you lift the lid to open it to feed etc., the quail will easily fly out. Try putting the door on the side of the pen.

Got any ideas for feeding and watering in this pen?

Buster,
Ours is similar in shape to yours but we put ours outside on the side of the brooder barn. The best feeder we found was a 7 pound hanging feeder. The feed waste is very low.

I'll see how it goes with the flying. One of the reasons I put the quail pen in the coop was so that if they do get out, I can catch them easily.

The pen has a pretty good slant, plus I am going to put siding along the top to keep the chickens from roosting along the top. We'll see how it goes.
