How do you tell them apart? Love your Amherst ... so pretty! Just seems like they should be in some kind of Egyptian cage. lol

If you don't know me let me introduce myself. I am the other half of birdman55. I came home from work one day and he told me he wanted a "golden cock." I had to ask him to repeat himself and when he showed me a picture i was like "oh, a bird." I am not a fan of birds they have claws and wings and beaks and they fly. But I told him if its something he wanted to do i will support him in any way i can. I have paced along on his journey for building a paradise for his birds. He appreciates everyone's kind word, every piece of advice, and mostly every friendship he has made on here. I could see that it brought him happiness and i thank everyone who have taken this journey with us. I will keep pacing along and I'm hoping you all can teach me as well as you've taught him.

Update on the farm: 10 pheasant eggs in the hatcher ready to hatch any day now. (Pulls out brown paper bag and starts breathing heavily into it.) Wish me luck for birdman is not here to guide me.

bands are necessary from hatch, the three I hatched from Chris's eggs are rather identical and one of them is a cross of two of his different fibro breeds, all three were banded when placed in the brooder, with color coordinated zip ties. I'm sure it can get more extensive with more birds.

I don't post much, but try to read along here. His journey has been inspirational. Nice that you are continuing, and I'm sure everyone here will be there for you!

Was going to ask if any of those eggs hatched. So you only got 3?
